About this material
LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 sits in the middle of the layered-oxide family: enough nickel for 155–165 mAh/g, enough manganese for structural stability, and a process window wide enough for a normal dry room rather than an ultra-low-humidity one.
It is the grade most laboratories move to after LFP, because it behaves predictably at 4.2–4.3 V and tolerates brief air exposure during weighing. Residual lithium is the parameter to watch: above 0.03% the slurry thickens during mixing and the coating develops pinholes.
Documentation, controls and care
Quality controls
- Certificate of analysis per batch
- Moisture by Karl Fischer, reported per lot
- Trace metal screening
- Retained samples held for 12 months
Handling & storage
- Store in a dry environment below 30 °C, away from direct sunlight.
- Equilibrate to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the material.
- Dry at 60–80 °C under vacuum before use where the process requires it.
Grades on this page are references used to describe capability; they are not a fixed product list.
Specification values are typical windows compiled from public technical references and supplier
datasheets, and are provided for selection guidance only. The specification delivered against your
order is agreed in writing, and measured values are confirmed on the batch certificate of analysis.
