About this material
Sodium-ion cells cannot use the lithium formulation: NaPF6 has different solubility, and the SEI on hard carbon needs a higher fluoroethylene carbonate content to stay stable. This blend uses EC/DEC at 1:1 with 5% FEC, which gives 6–8 mS/cm and a stable interface on hard carbon.
Sodium salts are more hygroscopic than lithium salts, so the water specification matters more here, not less. Keep the electrolyte below 20 ppm and the assembled cell will show the flat first-cycle efficiency that hard-carbon half cells are supposed to show.
Documentation, controls and care
Quality controls
- Certificate of analysis per batch
- Moisture by Karl Fischer, reported per lot
- Trace metal screening
- Retained samples held for 12 months
Handling & storage
- Store sealed under dry air or argon, away from light and ignition sources.
- Hygroscopic — dispense into a septum vial rather than reopening the stock bottle.
- Wear nitrile gloves, eye protection and a lab coat; consult the SDS before handling.
Grades on this page are references used to describe capability; they are not a fixed product list.
Specification values are typical windows compiled from public technical references and supplier
datasheets, and are provided for selection guidance only. The specification delivered against your
order is agreed in writing, and measured values are confirmed on the batch certificate of analysis.
