About this material
The anode tab has to weld to copper foil on one end and to a nickel-plated terminal on the other. Pure nickel does both: it forms a low-resistance weld to copper without the brittle intermetallics that plague aluminium-copper joints, and it resists the reducing environment at anode potential.
Annealed temper matters more than thickness. A hard-temper strip cracks at the weld nugget after a few hundred flex cycles; the annealed grades specified here survive folding and vibration, which is why elongation is on the certificate.
Documentation, controls and care
Quality controls
- Certificate of analysis per batch
- Moisture by Karl Fischer, reported per lot
- Trace metal screening
- Retained samples held for 12 months
Handling & storage
- Store in a dry environment below 30 °C, away from direct sunlight.
- Equilibrate to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation on the material.
- Dry at 60–80 °C under vacuum before use where the process requires it.
Grades on this page are references used to describe capability; they are not a fixed product list.
Specification values are typical windows compiled from public technical references and supplier
datasheets, and are provided for selection guidance only. The specification delivered against your
order is agreed in writing, and measured values are confirmed on the batch certificate of analysis.
Materials listed here may be hazardous; they must be handled by qualified personnel under applicable
