Overview
A vacuum chamber that holds filled cells under reduced pressure so that electrolyte penetrates the electrode stack evenly. A pneumatic cylinder closes the chamber and the vacuum source is connected automatically; nitrogen can be admitted during the standing period to accelerate wetting. Pressure is released and the chamber opens automatically at the end of the programme.
