Overview
A manual straight-line winding machine for cells and supercapacitors. A permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives the winding needle through a speed controller; the operator loads the cathode, anode and separator onto the needle, aligns them against the locating plate and presses the foot switch to wind the cell. The opposed-insert needle design allows the wound cell to be removed without drawing out the separator.

- Speed adjustable from 12 to 170 rpm
- Interchangeable opposed-insert winding needles, supplied to the customer's cell dimensions
- Needle withdrawal without pulling the separator out of the wound cell
- Winding alignment error held within ±0.2 mm
- Phenolic resin electrode placement table, 100 × 200 mm, that insulates the electrodes during winding
- Aluminium motor housing, motor with controller, foot switch and a 45# steel frame
- Electroplated 45# steel work table with a fine surface finish
